The Booking Process & Our Journey

I don't just turn up and take photos, Im with you from he very moment you decide Im your story teller....

IM WITH YOU EVERY STEP...

I'm all about being approachable and friendly! My passion is to truly understand your vision and desires for your special day. I'm not the typical old-school photographer; I bring fresh enthusiasm to every wedding because I genuinely care about making it the absolute best for you both. No detail is too small or too big for me—I'm here to ensure your vision comes to life. I love using platforms like Pinterest and Instagram to get inspired and help you throughout the process, from the planning stages right through to the day itself. My goal? To make sure that when you look back at your photos, you're instantly transported back to relive those amazing moments, again and again.

How it works:

Step 1: Booking

Getting started is simple! We'll have a friendly telephone call to discuss initial details and ensure we're a great fit for each other. After our chat, I'll send over the booking form and invoice. Once you've signed the form and the payment is settled, congratulations, your wedding date is officially booked!

Step 2: Questionnaires

Following the booking, I'll send you questionnaires at different stages:

The first questionnaire arrives upon booking, helping me understand your initial plans and preferences.

At the 3-month mark before your wedding, you'll receive a more comprehensive questionnaire. This allows us to dive deeper into the evolving details of your big day, from logistics to preferences and who's involved.

Finally, three weeks before the wedding, I'll send a final questionnaire to ensure we're perfectly aligned with the most up-to-date plans and any last-minute adjustments.

Step 3:

On the day

The photography day begins with me carefully preparing my equipment and setting the course to our first location. If you'd like, I can shoot you a quick text when I'm en route.

Upon arrival, whether at the venue or your home, I'll make sure to be punctual as discussed. I'll warmly greet everyone and swiftly get started on capturing the beautiful moments of your special day!

Before commencing the photography, I'll ensure everything is set and that you're ready for the session. In the meantime, I'll utilize any spare moments to capture the essence of the location or focus on delightful details like your shoes, bouquet, or dress. Every second counts, and I'm committed to making every moment count towards creating stunning memories for you!

Countdown to the Big Moment!

Once everyone's dressed and ready, I'll begin capturing some pre-ceremony shots before we head to the venue, church, or ceremony location.

These last couple of hours before the ceremony can be quite lively and sometimes pass by in a blur, so it's wise to plan a bit of extra time for these photos alongside your other suppliers. Rest assured, I'll work discreetly, ensuring I'm not in the way while preparing for the next stage and positioning myself for the arrivals.

If it's possible and time allows, I highly recommend taking a precious 5 minutes for a First Look with Dad or the Bridesmaids—it's a heartfelt moment worth capturing. And if there's a spare moment just before it's time to depart, I'll seize the opportunity to capture some lovely Bridal shots to cherish. These moments, though brief, often carry immense emotional value.

The Ceremony

Throughout the Ceremony, I'll be positioned discretely at the front, either to the left or right side. If there's a second shooter, they'll be stationed toward the back to capture alternate angles and perspectives.

I'm committed to being as unobtrusive as possible. Towards the end of the ceremony, I'll typically be invited by the registrar or vicar to capture moments during the signing. Please note that these shots are usually of a replica book since I'm unable to photograph the legal documents. This moment often presents a lovely opportunity for ring shots and capturing images of your witnesses as well.

"Cheers to Your Newlywed Bliss!"

As you exit, I'll be there to capture those beautiful confetti shots and ensure you both have a moment to savor a well-deserved drink together.

Now is the time to unwind a bit, soak in the joyous atmosphere, and engage with your guests. I'll be discreetly capturing candid moments, chatting with everyone, and starting to plan the group shots. There's usually no rush for these, so we'll kick off whenever everyone feels ready.

Having a list of group shots from you (which is super helpful!) allows me to efficiently organize everyone. I'll call out names and arrange your family and guests into position. These shots are the formal ones, and once we've wrapped those up, everyone can return to enjoying the celebration!

Let's Capture the Memories Together!

It's time for the group shots, and trust me, this part of the day can be a bit of a juggle! People might wander off or still be mingling at the bar, and without a list, someone important might get missed.

I usually kick things off with the Married Couple and their immediate relatives, gradually expanding to include everyone. Starting small and working our way up ensures we don't miss any key individuals.

Sometimes, the Best Man or Maid of Honour can be a huge help in rounding up the crew or calling out names. While I aim for this to take about 20 minutes, it's wise to set aside around 45 minutes, just to be on the safe side. This way, we can ensure we capture all those meaningful group shots without any rush or stress!

Embracing the Magic of Your Moments

Let's steal away from the bustling energy and immerse ourselves in a serene moment just for the two of you. Here, time stretches at your command—there's no rush. I'll gently guide you through elegant poses, weaving in any inspirational ideas you've shared with me. These moments often find their way into cherished frames on your walls, capturing the essence of your love.

Should our afternoon sunlight offer only a fleeting chance for a few shots, I propose something truly enchanting—'Golden Hour.' As the sun begins its descent, about an hour before dusk, the world transforms. The light dances in the sky, casting a golden hue that paints your love story with ethereal beauty. It's a time when every frame becomes a tale of enchantment, and I'm eager to capture more of your everlasting love in this mesmerizing, dream-like setting.

Capturing Every Moment Until the First Dance

As guests settle down for the sit-down part of the celebration, it's a perfect moment for me to step away, allowing you to relish your meal in peace. If you've included me in your headcount, I kindly ask to be served earlier to ensure I don't miss capturing the heartfelt speeches at the end—those moments are truly precious!

Once everyone's enjoyed their meals and the speeches conclude, I'll seamlessly transition into capturing candid shots of your guests. I'll prepare for the arrival of evening guests, ensuring I'm ready to immortalize moments like the Cake Cutting, First Dance, and the magical evening atmosphere.

By the time I've snapped some joyful dancing shots, I'll have all the elements I need to craft your comprehensive gallery encapsulating the entire day! At this point, I'll bid my farewells, allowing you to revel in the festivities. Later in the week, I'll be diligently editing your photos, ensuring each moment is polished to perfection before presenting your stunning gallery!

After Your Big Day

After your wedding, I will provide you with a selection of highlight images to share with your loved ones if you choose the full day package, as well as showcasing them on my social media platforms. During this time, while you are enjoying your honeymoon or the post-wedding bliss, I will meticulously edit your complete gallery. It is my aim to individually hand-edit each image, ensuring the highest quality and attention to detail. I endeavor to deliver your completed gallery within a maximum timeframe of 10 weeks. However, there are occasions where this process may be expedited, resulting in a delightful surprise for you. To stay updated on the progress of your gallery, please monitor your email inbox and my social media channels, where I will provide updates on the editing queue. Rest assured, regardless of the package selected, all galleries are edited in chronological wedding order. Once your gallery is ready for viewing, you will have the option to download and share the images at your convenience. Additionally, should you wish to acquire USBs or albums, arrangements can be made accordingly. Thank you for entrusting me with capturing your special day. Let us preserve these cherished memories together.

Regular Questions Asked

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE

A. My photography style is all about capturing the essence of your day as it unfolds—embracing the details that weave together to tell your unique
story. I prioritize candid, in-the-moment shots that transport you back to those special memories. While I adore capturing portraits of you both, I completely respect your preferences. If posed portraits aren't your thing, we can skip them altogether!
I'm here to assist and adapt to your wishes. Whether it's orchestrating stunning staged group shots or embracing a more spontaneous, fun approach, I'm flexible to ensure your vision is realized.
Professionalism is key to me—I collaborate seamlessly with your other vendors and the venue. My aim is to work discreetly, ensuring I capture the essence of your day without intruding on your moments.
Expect my images to radiate warmth, happiness, and emotion—each one a genuine reflection of the moments as they happened. Ultimately, my goal is to craft a visual narrative that vividly illustrates the beautiful story of your day.

WHY SHOULD WE CHOOSE YOU LISA?

A. I pour my heart and soul into your wedding journey—before, du
ring, and even after the big day. It's not just about those hours of the wedding itself; it's an investment that spans a comprehensive 40 hours or more, from our very first interaction to the moment I deliver your completed gallery.

My approach is all about being friendly, warm, and reassuring—I'm here to ensure you feel supported every step of the way. Quick responses to your messages are a given, and as a mom, caring for each new client becomes a personal commitment, much like nurturing a new "baby" through this beautiful journey.

On your wedding day, my experience speaks volumes. I come prepared with backup equipment and a range of lenses to capture stunning moments. Beyond snapping photos, I'm there to chat with the lone granddad, dance with the aunties, and play with the children. It's all about being part of your celebration, making sure everyone feels included and comfortable.

My reviews often highlight my guidance and support throughout the day, gently steering you both to create breathtaking galleries. Every wedding is a learning experience for me—I work hard and consistently strive to make the next one even more memorable.

While I may stay in the background, rest assured, you'll feel my presence. That means you'll end up with an array of lovely images capturing heartfelt moments for Grandma and those candid shots you might have thought I hadn't seen! Trust me, those are often the most cherished ones!

WHAT IF YOU ARE SICK ON THE DAY?

A. I completely understand the worry of unexpected illness, but rest assured, I've got contingency plans in place to ensure your day remains as magical as you've envisioned. If, by a rare chance, I'm unwell on your wedding day, I have a network of talented friends within the industry who I trust to step in seamlessly. They'll be briefed with the detailed plans we've discussed, ensuring they're as informed as I am, and they'll capture the day in line with my style. Once they've captured the moments, I'll take care of the editing to maintain consistency and deliver images that reflect your day authentically.
In the rare instance that my children might need me due to illness, I'm fortunate to have a strong family network to support them. Your wedding is a priority—I consider my clients as an extended family, and I'm committed to ensuring I never let you down. You all hold such significance that I'd take every possible measure to ensure your day is nothing short of perfect, even if unforeseen circumstances arise.

WILL OTHER PEOPLE BE ABLE TO TAKE PHOTOS?

A. Absolutely! I completely understand that friends and family will want to capture their own memories—that's a beautiful part of the celebration! However, during key moments, like staged portraits or special scenes, I kindly ask for a little space to ensure I get the perfect shots. If someone is in the way, I’ll politely ask them to step aside
Also, please refrain from sharing your final images with any other suppliers or venues without my consent.

HAVE YOU WORKED AT OUR VENUE BEFORE?

A. I completely understand the importance of familiarity with your venue. If I've had the pleasure of working there before, it means I'll already be acquainted with the layout, the best photo spots, and the team's dynamics, which helps things run smoothly.
If I haven't worked at your venue previously, no worries at all! I'll ensure to arrive earlier on the day to familiarize myself with the location. I'll take a walk around, introduce myself to the team, and scout the area to find the best spots for your photos. It doesn't take too long, and it ensures I'm well-prepared to capture the essence of your day beautifully.
And hey, if you've seen some Instagram-worthy photos or have specific shots in mind that you'd love to recreate, please do share! We'll take inspiration from those, but let's aim to make your photos even more spectacular and uniquely yours. Together, we'll create something truly stunning!

WHAT DO WE GET FROM YOU LEADING UP TO THE DAY?

A. Once you reach out to me, I'll promptly get in touch. We'll start by going through the booking process. I'll email you a booking form and an invoice. Once the booking fee is settled, your date is securely reserved. To ensure quality, I limit myself to photographing only 30 weddings a year, allowing ample time for meticulous editing.
Following this, you'll receive a questionnaire to help me get to know you better. At 3 months and 3 weeks before your wedding, you'll receive more detailed questionnaires. This will give us the chance to delve into your preferences, understand your other suppliers, and capture the style of photos you're dreaming of. A week before the big day, I'll ask for your set photo list, ensuring we don't miss any special shots you have in mind.

HOW LONG TO GET OUR IMAGES?

A. I work hard on each wedding, editing in date order to give every couple my full attention. Unlike others, I don't send photos to batch editing or AI services. I meticulously fine-tune tones and colors to match my signature style, focusing on natural balance rather than heavy retouching. Minor fixes like facial blemishes are included, but extensive cosmetic edits can be arranged for an additional fee. With around 700-1000 images to edit, it takes about 30 hours per wedding, with a maximum 10-week delivery time, ensuring authenticity in every shot.

DO YOU HAVE BACK UP EQUIPMENT AND INSURANCE?

A. Yes, I'm fully insured with Hiscox, covering personal and public liability. If your venue needs proof, simply have them email me, and I'll send over the documentation.

As for equipment, I shoot with a Sony A7III and always carry a backup. My lenses, ranging from primes to zooms, help capture various styles, with my macro lens perfect for close-ups of rings and details. I also use both on- and off-camera lighting to adapt to any situation, ensuring your day is beautifully captured regardless of the lighting conditions.

DO YOU CHARGE FOR TRAVEL?

A. For venues within 30 miles of TN23, the travel is included in the package—this typically covers a vast area in Kent. However, for venues beyond this radius, I calculate the travel charges based on factors such as distance, potential congestion, and the time required.

If your venue falls outside the included radius, just let me know the location, and I'll promptly provide you with the most accurate pricing based on the specific details, its roughly £1.00 per mile each way plus any road charges

WHATS THE BOOKING FEE?

A. To book your date and secure me as your photographer I require.

A signed contact and 50% of the package within 3 days of booking
This saves your date in my diary – I only photograph 1 wedding a day and a total of 30 a year this is to give all my couple my devotion before the wedding and after during the editing stages, so nothing is ever rushed.

The booking fee : this serves to cover the extensive work I undertake leading up to your wedding. This includes consultations, necessary paperwork, pre-meetings, and ensuring everything is meticulously planned for your special day. Importantly, this booking fee is non-refundable as it’s designated for work already completed or scheduled, and it secures your exclusive date.
The remaining balance is due 3 months before your wedding on a specific date that's on your invoice.

It's important to highlight that your date is at risk If you do not make the balance payments on time.

ARE YOU LGBT FRIENDLY?

A. I proudly photograph weddings for all couples, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or neurodiversity. Creating a safe and inclusive space is key, where your unique identity is not only respected but celebrated.

While some may say, "A wedding is a wedding," I believe it's essential to acknowledge what makes your relationship special. I use gender-neutral language, respect pronouns, and ensure you feel completely welcome and validated. Love is love, and my goal is to capture your wedding day with authenticity, joy, and respect for your unique story.

DO WE HAVE TO SUPPLY YOU A MEAL?

A. If I’m covering your wedding for the entire day, I’d greatly appreciate a small vendor meal (which most venues typically provide) since I won’t have the chance to leave and grab food. With 10+ hours of shooting, I need to stay on-site to capture key moments like speeches, candid table shots, and other special moments. While it’s not mandatory or in my contract, having a meal helps me stay energized and focused. I’ll take a short break during your meal to recharge and be fully ready for the rest of your big day!
